Brand New Sin: latest from the studio
Here's the latest from Brand New Sin, as taken from their official site, Brandnewsin.org:"Whats up boys and girls!! Well since the last time we have spoke much has happened. First, my Dolphins finally won, the Red Sox staged the biggest comeback in baseball history and BNS completed work on the CD!!!! Good things come in threes I guess, LOL!! Last week was spent fine tooth combing every song, every note and every tone. Many hours were spent mixing and by Thursday we had pretty much reached the end. We burned it all down to one disc and were given the weekend to digest it. Also on Thursday a man by the name of Robert John, www.robertjohnphotography.com , flew in to photgraph BNS for our album and promo shots. Go to his website, read his bio and check out his portfolio, it will speak for itself!!! It was an amazing weekend working with him in what he called, "THE WEIRDEST PHOTO SHOOT I HAVE EVER DONE!!", which means alot considering who he has shot in his 23 years in the biz. Friday and Saturday were spent shooting photos and consuming a lot of beer and vodka. Both nights were filled with a lot of beer and JAGERMEISTER!!! So all in all a good fucking week for BNS!! A big FUCK YEAH to Robert for flying his ass from sunny LA to gloomy old Syracuse!!Today was the final listen to all the mixes and to decided which one sounded the best. We spent the afternoon in my basement listening and then dragged our asses back into the studio to assemble the CD (put it in order and add some candy so to speak). After that we all cracked some beers and listened to the CD from start to finish. One FULL hour of music laid out the way we have envisioned it!! All of were lost in it and when it all was done we sat there speechless. All the work we have done in the past year and a half was FINALLY a reality. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that there was so much emotion and thoughts in my head that I (we) did not even know what to say. I think the year of bullshit, followed by a summer of shows and 5 weeks in the studio has all caught up to us and we are happy!! We CAN NOT WAIT for you all to hear this. We hope that you will enjoy this as much as we do, and feel how we have felt. Along the way we hope that between this new cd and our new label we will take BNS to where we have always wanted to be. We thank all the parties involved in this process, first to my bandmates for pushing each other to the limits, to Pete ( our co-producer) for working with us again, to our wives, girlfriends, family and friends who have stood by us thru thick and thin, and most importantly to all of YOU, THE FANS for not giving up on us!!!!! As Ozzy would say, WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!Now to the next phase, mastering of the CD, artwork and layout for the CD and our favorite thing, SHOWSSSSS!!!!
